KD Cutie Pies

I can admit that I wasn't the most involved sister in KD, and haven't been back for much, but little Hannah Miller pledged KD and we had to go celebrate with her! We had fun-it's always neat to see people you haven't seen in years, the kids were pretty well behaved too, even with the cold weather. Oh yeah, and it was snowing while we were out on the drill field!!! I'm just not sure if I put enough green on my kids though...

New Year's Eve

We spent New Year's Eve up in Chickamauga this year, with our friends Tracy, Kati and Alli, at Tracy's parent's house, with new friends Jamie and Maddie too! It was a full house to say the least!. Riley has loved Kati and Alli since they first met (he was about 15 months old), and every time we see them they pick up right where they left off. Of course now Kit is busy trying to keep up! The kids made pizza with Mamaw and had a blast! We made it all the way to midnight and even got up okay on New Year's day. Tracy and I even braved taking the kids to the playground the next day, and despite the seriously cold weather, they had a great time-like always!

Decorating/decorations

The kids didn't do a whole lot of decorating the tree this Christmas, but I had to laugh when Kit showed me the new 'ornament' she hung up on Christmas Eve (in case you can't tell-it's a baby doll shoe!), and Riley and I made marshmallow snowmen to decorate-and, as you can see, he was quite proud of it!

Christmas in Lula!

what the?!?! (it's sleeping beauty!)

We had a wonderful first Christmas in our new home, the entire Trudell side of the family traveled all the way to Lula to celebrate with us! I can honestly admit that I struggled with dinner-being the first time I've hosted a holiday get together. But my mom and 3 sisters pitched right in and I am so thankful! Uncle Dan got us all off our butts, he got out both our footballs and Riley's big bouncy ball and we played out in the big field below our house. My parents had taken the kids to the playground down the street, but as soon as they saw us throwing the football around they came running! We got a game of kickball together and had a blast, Kit watched us while sitting in her stroller like a good little princess and Riley sat on the trampoline and watched. He did throw the football around with us though, and even though Dan showed off, all of us girls held our own. Of course we all had sore arms 2 days later too! We finished the night with our traditional game of Trivial Pursuit, where everyone makes fun of each other and someone always ends up mad (usually me!). Uncle Dan did take a time out to help the kids set up the geotrax, and it was one heck of a set up!!

Christmas Eve at Home

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care...and cookies for Santa!

We got back from Newnan late Christmas Eve, but still had enough energy to unwrap and put on the Christmas jammies (I warned you!) and have Grandpa read the Night Before Christmas.
