We celebrated Kit's 3rd birthday with her friends from school, down at Chuck E. Cheese-and we got to do it on her actual birthday! She was pretty stand offish at the beginning but had a great time. We did a Strawberry Shortcake/Lightning McQueen birthday because she couldn't decide what she wanted! It didn't matter that much since I didn't have to buy any decorations this time, just a cake and some plates. For that reason, and the lack of cleaning on my part, I totally recommend going to the Cheese. I probably spent around the same amount of money, but it was wonderful to just pack up and go home! Plus I don't have to figure out what to do with all the decorations!
Of course she picked her white dress to wear on the day we were eating pizza and cupcakes with bright green frosting! That is why she has the t shirt on over the dress in some of the pictures, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get the icing out if she spilled. She was thrilled with all of her fun presents, and they were all out of the package within minutes of getting home! The snow white outfit came from her friend Lottie, and she had that on as quick as she could. I had to laugh, she loves wearing hats, jewelry, and sunglasses, but has never completely changed her entire outfit, but she LOVED it. Plus she got a cinderella costume from another friend a few days later, so she is in heaven! Riley and I got her the scooter and she has the best time trying to keep up with him!
My baby is three, the time has flown by so quickly. She is definitely in the midst of the 'trying threes' as I like to call them. But she is so sweet and funny and smart (I know everyone says that about their kids!!) when she wants to be, I can't imagine what I would do without her around to make me laugh!!
