First Day of School

Well Kit started another year of preschool on August 3rd and she was so excited!! She has been doing soooo well this year, her teachers are very proud of her and of course I am too!
Riley also had his first day of summer camp that day, so he wanted his picture taken too.

Riley's first day of school was the 10th of August and he started kindergarten at Lula Elementary! Kit had to jump in on his pictures as well, only one more year and they'll be starting on the same day!

I'm not sure why I chose the window as our backdrop last year, but I went ahead and kept it this year to have a good comparison. A good friend suggested that taking the kids picture on the Lula Elementary sign would be a good one to repeat every year-I like that better than the window!

This is the first day of school last year, and I can't believe how much they have grown!! Kit was such a baby and now she is such a big girl!! Riley just looks like a little man now too!

Kit's 3rd Birthday

We celebrated Kit's 3rd birthday with her friends from school, down at Chuck E. Cheese-and we got to do it on her actual birthday! She was pretty stand offish at the beginning but had a great time. We did a Strawberry Shortcake/Lightning McQueen birthday because she couldn't decide what she wanted! It didn't matter that much since I didn't have to buy any decorations this time, just a cake and some plates. For that reason, and the lack of cleaning on my part, I totally recommend going to the Cheese. I probably spent around the same amount of money, but it was wonderful to just pack up and go home! Plus I don't have to figure out what to do with all the decorations!
Of course she picked her white dress to wear on the day we were eating pizza and cupcakes with bright green frosting! That is why she has the t shirt on over the dress in some of the pictures, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get the icing out if she spilled. She was thrilled with all of her fun presents, and they were all out of the package within minutes of getting home! The snow white outfit came from her friend Lottie, and she had that on as quick as she could. I had to laugh, she loves wearing hats, jewelry, and sunglasses, but has never completely changed her entire outfit, but she LOVED it. Plus she got a cinderella costume from another friend a few days later, so she is in heaven! Riley and I got her the scooter and she has the best time trying to keep up with him!
My baby is three, the time has flown by so quickly. She is definitely in the midst of the 'trying threes' as I like to call them. But she is so sweet and funny and smart (I know everyone says that about their kids!!) when she wants to be, I can't imagine what I would do without her around to make me laugh!!
