Choo Choo!

We went for a ride on the Tennessee Valley Railroad with my parents a few weeks ago, and the kids loved it! Well, except for the noise, as you can tell by Riley covering his ears in almost every picture! It's a neat 20 minute ride and you get off and watch them turn the engine around then ride back. The train depot is a little museum, lots of neat stuff to look at. We also saw a life sized Thomas the Tank Engine, which was far and away the most exciting part for Riley, he was just bummed that he couldn't ride on it! **The picture of just Riley is the first time we took him, he was 2 and, as you can see in the background, I was pregnant with Kit. We did the train ride with my parents during Keith's R&R.

Horsin' Around! (yeah, I know it's corny!)

For the Awanas end of the year party at our church, everyone is invited out to Ms. Linda's barn to cookout, ride horses, feed horses, and Riley's favorite; ride the gatorade! Yes, it's really a gator, but in our house it is now known as a gatorade. The guy that drove us around didn't slow down just because we had little ones, we were flying through the woods, up and down hills-screaming all the way!! We had a blast, Kit got into everything (especially the food) except for riding the horses. She was fine until I tried to walk away from the horse and she just lost it! But Riley did great, he actually rode 2 different horses. He even made sure to wear his army rain boots since he didn't have cowboy boots!
