Owies R Us

Ok, everyone knows how accident prone Riley is (i.e. skull fracture and broken arm) so it's about time for Kit to start catching up, she hasn't done quite as bad, yet. The other night David, my father in law, gave me a much needed break by taking the kids out to play, he said Kit fell but got right back up- no crying or whining, so we didn't think anything until bathtime, when this lovely boo boo was discovered.

So Riley decides to test out their new ice packs (courtesy of the Easter bunny) on her owie, what a sweet big brother, for the moment!A closeup of the fading black eye, and yes she is drinking out of my mcdonalds cup!

Easter Activities

We had an Easter party with Riley's class, lots of fun for both of them, kids, candy, and running around, what more could they want?!?

We drove up to Oma and Grampa's house to spend the Easter weekend with them. We went to two egg hunts on Saturday, the first was really neat-they were bringing in a helicopter to drop the eggs for the kids, but after two hours of waiting and complete chaos, we gave up and went out to lunch! They did get to play in a few inflatable slides and bouncy houses, so it wasn't a complete bust.
Later that afternoon we went to another Easter egg hunt with our next door neighbors, and the kids got lots of eggs, and had a lot of fun!

Spring has sprung!!

March has been a crazy month for us, at least that's my excuse for no posts in over a month! Keith started at the "place" that I am forbidden to put on here, and is doing great! Other than the occasional 7 mile run, he is really enjoying everything he is doing. The kids are great, Riley is going nonstop, and loves being spoiled by his grandparents. Kit is learning new words all the time, the newest one is elbow, though it sounds more like belbow when she says it! They both LOVE talking to daddy on the phone, and now Kit thinks every time the phone rings that it must be daddy!
I had great plans to throw up pictures from Easter-but that will have to be the next blog!
