Snow was predicted for Thursday afternoon, and since we live in Georgia where they flip out over 1/2 an inch of snow, Hall County (and all surrounding counties) decided on Wednesday to make Thursday an early release day. I still think they jumped the gun (the snow was not bad at all until it got dark) but that's probably because I was irritated that they canceled the after school program too, but I won't complain because I enjoyed having the afternoon off, it gave us plenty of time to play in the snow! We bundled up as best we could: extra layers, hats, mittens, scarves-oh and Riley thought crocs would be good to wear out in the snow, whatever! We got Friday off as well, thank goodness because I still hadn't taken down my Christmas tree yet! The snow lasted through this afternoon, but it wasn't wet enough to make snowmen or snowballs, but the kids absolutely loved it!!Oh yeah-no laughing at Kit's crazy outfit, I can't find hats or mittens to match her coat, but I absolutely LOVE her coat, so she will just have to be a little mismatched!
